Career Specialties

Karly has been serving as an Area Coordinator in the Office of Residence Life since her graduation at the University of Florida in 2021. Since being at the University of Tampa, Karly has served in first-year communities, both in the Barrymore Hotel and the Vaughn Center. Karly has been working in Residence Life since her time in undergrad as a Resident Assistant, and served as a Graduate Community Coordinator in Residence Education during her time at the University of Florida. While earning her Masters, Karly also worked in the Disability Resource Center, helping to lead the foundation for a passion in accessibility and DEI in higher education.

Professional and Community Activities

Karly currently serves as the Student Leadership Coordinator within the Florida Housing Officers (FHO) organization. Karly assists in the planning and execution of the yearly Leadership Educational Advancement Program (LEAP) for student staff in residence life across the state of Florida. FHO is a designation under the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO). In addition to these professional affiliations, Karly is also professionally affiliated with NASPA and ACUHO-I. Karly is a graduate of UT's New Professionals Institution, and got the opportunity to represent the University of Tampa in SEAHO's Regional Entry Level Institute (RELI) in 2022.
