Career Specialties

Jordan Land’s research focuses on contemporary issues injuvenile delinquency, including prevention, intervention, and rehabilitation strategies. His interests in penology examine correctional reform, sentencing practices, intermediate sanctions, and the effectiveness of incarceration. He focuses on the expanding role of private security within the criminal justice system, particularly the relationship between public and private sectors. Additionally, his focus explores business administration within the criminal justice field and court system, emphasizing leadership, organizational management,and operational efficiency in justice-related institutions.

Professional and Community Activities

Land maintains professional affiliations with the American Correctional Association and the American Jail Association. Heis also a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminaljustice honor society. Land is also the advisor to the Criminology Club. In addition to his professional involvement, he actively volunteers with local non profit organizations andparticipates in two community bowling leagues. He and his wifeare also stewards to a Free Little Library
