Career Specialties

Wesley Johnson’s scholarship focuses on three areas: everyday surveillance; representations of rage and violence and disinformation. Johnson’s work explores the archive of everyday violence and paranoia. Current research projects explore conspirituality, the carceral imagination in film and performances of violence in the influencer economy.

Johnson’s peer-reviewed work has appeared in Departures in Critical Qualitative Research, Communication Education, The Florida Scholarly Review, Extrapolations and the Journal of Autoethnography.
