Career Specialties

Amy Johnson’s specialization is emergency medicine. She also worked as clinical faculty at UF Health Family Medicine serving an underserved patient population at their Eastside practice.

Professional and Community Activities

Johnson’s interests include emergency medicine, wound care, mental health, medical missions and academic mentorship. Her clinical focus has been on optimizing patient communication and counseling in the emergency room and primary care setting in order to produce lasting health outcomes. She was initially drawn to the PA profession after participating on several mission trips, including to Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and the Bahamas. Her goal is to provide empathetic and conscientious care to all her patients.
