Introduction to Sport Management
Sport Marketing/Fundraising
Sara worked in New York City and Chicago where she oversaw sports and consumer campaigns for Fortune 500 companies. During this time Sara was fortunate to work alongside many greats from the Dalai Lama and Derek Jeter to Wayne Gretzky and Yogi Bera.
Her first major initiative was the legendary milk mustache campaign, Got Milk?, which reversed a 30-year decline in the sales of milk. Sara was also frequently on the golf course as she managed various PGA and LPGA tournaments on behalf of the Chrysler Corporation. This included writing golf tips for USA Today and Sports Illustrated with renowned sports psychologist Bob Rotella.
Sara spent many days in the Islands of the Bahamas overseeing the Ministry of Tourism’s sports marketing programs, including bonefishing tournaments, golf, and beach volleyball. She also worked alongside famed oceanographer Jean-Michel Cousteau on scuba and snorkeling programs. And as a college football fan, working with the Orange Bowl and the Holiday Bowl games was one of Sara’s favorite projects. Additionally, she worked on marketing efforts for The North Face, Nike, Sephora, Conde Nast Publications, Hewlett Packard, Krispy Kreme, Corona and Outside Magazine.
Sara has been featured on CNN International’s “Quest Means Business” and published in Chicago Crain’s Business Journal.
Residing in Tampa with her three daughters, Sara can usually be found running or paddle boarding with her dogs in tow.
