Career Specialties

Orthopedics. Fellowship trained and assigned to Brooke Army Medical Center providing orthopedic surgical care and served as Forward Surgical Team Commander.
Operational Medicine. Provided operational medical care to conventional and special operations medical units.
Primary Care. Provided medical care to service-members and families. 

Professional and Community Activities

Detro has been involved intermittently in medical research. The most recent study involved blast overpressure injuries in special operations forces.

Detro is involved in local efforts targeted at Veteran's Homelessness and Justice Impacted Veterans.  Efforts include health care, financial counseling, and job training.
