Career Specialties

Linette Dawson specializes in organizational behavior and leadership. Drawing on executive leadership experience spanning multinational corporations and entrepreneurial ventures, her research explores how leaders and organizations create the conditions that enable people and organizations to succeed together.

Professional and Community Activities

Dawson's current scholarship focuses on organizational behavior and leadership, with projects examining employee motivation, supervisor support, organizational commitment, career development and cultural intelligence. She has presented her research at national and international academic conferences, including the Academy of International Business US Southeast Conference and the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society Conference. Her recent scholarship includes publications with the Administrative Science Quarterly Blog, a manuscript under review at the International Journal of Human Resources Management and ongoing collaborative research in organizational behavior and international business.

Dawson serves on the Editorial Review Board for Business and Management and reviews submissions for conference tracks at the Academy of International Business US Southeast Conference, the Southern Management Association Annual Meeting and the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society Annual Conference. Beyond academia, she serves as Tampa Metro Leader for the Women Executives Circle and has held numerous national leadership roles within the Society of Women Engineers, reflecting her longstanding commitment to professional leadership and community engagement.
