Career Specialties

Matt Battista serves UT’s community by cultivating meaningful and sustained partnerships with various employers and industry leaders throughout Tampa Bay. He is responsible for leading innovative strategies and programs that increase campus engagement opportunities for UT students and employer partners.

As a representative of UT and the Office of Career Services, Battista focuses on recruiting trends and the talent needs of employers both regionally and nationally. He has experience in various student affairs departments including enrollment management, alumni relations, first-year experience, student success and career services.

Battista currently serves on the Southern Association for Colleges and Employers (SoACE) Board as director for targeted knowledge groups.

He is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay, class of 2020, the best class ever! He is also recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, 40 Under 40 class of 2023.

Professional and Community Activities

Battista is an active member of the Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
He is currently serving on the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council's Business Development Committee.
He is a member of the Florida Association of Colleges and Employers.
He is a member and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers.
He is an active member of the Colleges of Central Florida's Career Consortium.
