Stephen Abeyta's areas of academic interest include work and labor-related violence, victimization and safety using mixed methodologies.

Professional and Community Activities

Most of his work centers on exploitative labor conditions in a variety of spatiotemporal contexts using mixed methods. His current activities focus on how county-and time-specific conditions shape worker outcomes, as well as studying protective factors to work and labor-related exploitation, victimization and violence. His recent work has appeared in the Journal of Safety Research, the Journal of Experimental Criminology, Global Crime and Plos One.
