UT Give Day
The UT dance program has always been a special place for students from all around the University.
It is not just a place to take class but a place to perform, create, collaborate, enrich and experience all the joys that dance can bring. From dance majors, to the students who chose other paths of study but didn't want to give up dancing in college, UT dance has a place for everyone.
As a UT dance alumna, I had the honor of being part of a program that changed the way I thought about dance and the impact it can have on us all. I am the dancer and teacher I am today because of my experiences here. It was because of those experiences that I always knew I wanted to come back and teach here, and I now have the privilege of directing the program; making sure that our traditions of an all-inclusive, positive and joyful environment can continue.
Now that we have a major, our students are taught how to bring those dance components out in to the world through their pedagogical courses, so that they too can form their own dance programs that live through our motto of "Do It With Love!"
