The Religious Observance Letter is meant to inform professors of certain religious holidays celebrated by a student that could interfere with their academic schedule. During some of these holidays individuals attend religious services, spend time with family or community, and refrain from work, electronic communication and other commercial activities.
This letter should be provided to a professor at the beginning of the academic term. Please keep in mind that students are responsible for making up any missed work and that faculty should refer to the University attendance policy for guidance.
This letter can be found on Involve UTampa on the Wellness Services portal. Once you are in Involve, search “Wellness Services”, click “Documents”, and then navigate to the “Faith, Values and Spirituality” folder.
