Suspended or unrecognized fraternities and sororities are organizations that operate independently of the University of Tampa and do not maintain official recognition with the institution. These groups may have previously held University recognition and subsequently lost that status because of University or national organizational conduct action, or they may have formed and begun operating without the knowledge, approval, or support of the University. A suspended fraternity or sorority is an organization that has lost the University's recognition and is prohibited from operating due to a Student Conduct determination.
Suspended/Unrecognized organizations are not permitted to represent themselves as affiliated with the University and are not eligible for University resources, privileges, or support. Any student who affiliates with these groups and engages in behaviors contrary to the Student Code of Conduct may be subject to disciplinary actions by the Office of Student Conduct.
