Students may receive academic credit (up to 30 hours) for successful completion of Advanced Placement (AP) examinations taken in high school.

  • The AP is administered by the College Board.
  • UT awards up to 30 hours of credit for both AP and CLEP.
  • Credit is earned for scores of 3 and higher.

Spartan Studies is The University of Tampa’s general education program. The following abbreviations indicate which Spartan Studies requirement would be fulfilled. If nothing is listed in the Spartan Studies column, then the course does not meet general education requirements but may meet major requirements or count as general elective credit.
