The University of Tampa is a private educational institution. As such, UT reserves the right to grant or restrict access to any or all of its grounds, facilities and programs. Any individual not registered as a student, employed by the University, or employed by an affiliated vendor partner is considered a visitor. Visitors include but are not limited to, non-registered students, friends, spouses, children, guest speakers and UT-sanctioned event participants.
Visitor conduct must not interfere with the educational environment. Presence in classrooms is strictly limited to students enrolled in the course and/or visitors with a legitimate academic purpose. All visitors must abide by UT policies, procedures and rules, including rules governing student conduct.
For the safety and security of the campus, individuals are required to have identification on their person at all times. Campus Safety and/or campus administration may require a visitor to identify the academic or business purpose associated with the visit and present a valid government-issued ID upon request. Failure to do so will immediately prohibit the visitor’s presence on campus.
