A student-entrepreneur pitch competition, networking opportunities and national speakers will make up the 2015 Southeast Entrepreneurship Conference (SEEC 2015) at The University of Tampa Feb. 27–28.

SEEC 2015 is an official regional conference of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and gives participants an opportunity to network with like-minded students and business professionals from across the nation.

The main event of SEEC is the Spartan Pitch Competition where student-entrepreneurs will have 90 seconds to pitch their startup business idea to a panel of judges for a chance to win part of $4,000 in prize money. The public, as well as members of the media, are invited to attend the final round of the Spartan Pitch Competition, which is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. in Reeves Theater on the second floor of the Vaughn Center.

SEEC 2015 is open to students of all academic majors, especially those students who are emerging entrepreneurs and who already have a business up and running. Community business partners who are interested in supporting the development of entrepreneurial students are also encouraged to attend the conference.

More than 20 speakers from across the country are slated to speak at the conference. Key note speakers include Daniel James Scott, executive director of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, and Joe Quaglia, president Americas of Tech Data Corp. The conference emcee will be professional speaker Topher Morrison and American performance coach Jairek Robbins.

The conference is hosted by UT Entrepreneurs, the UT chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization. Sponsors include Agile Thought, Total Quality Logistics and Gray-Robinson Attorneys.
