Career Specialties

Joan Ledbetter is especially interested in career decision-making self-efficacy, the retention benefits of first-year and transfer classes and programming, and writing preparedness of first-year college students.

Professional and Community Activities

Ledbetter has been an active Kiwanian in her community for over 13 years (as an officer and a board member). Ledbetter has also served on the board of Keep Rome/Floyd Beautiful and the Business Advisory Committee of Rome High School for the past four years.

In the past, Ledbetter has enjoyed serving as an Equality Alliance advisor, student mentor and mentor program coordinator, president of AAWCC, board member of AAUW, committee member of the historic preservation committee and chamber of commerce ambassador. She has presented often on career, advising, FYE and writing topics.
