Career Specialties

Rachel Killam works with The University of Tampa's college students, especially those in their first or second year who are exploring, to help them articulate who they are, where they're going, what's out there and how they'll get there. She does this through individual career coaching and counseling on anything related to self and career exploration, developing authentic and competent networking strategies, creating relevant resumes and cover letters, engaging in successful internship/job search strategies and practicing their interviewing skills.

Killam finds creative and unique ways to demystify Career Services and bring the work of the office out to the rest of campus, making it easy for students to connect with career development resources. Encouraging students to intentionally reflect and take action on their values, interests, personality, skills, strengths and motivations is especially energizing for her, as well as collaborating with students to find ways to explore what's out there in regards to their career options.
