Career Specialties

Maxine Jeffery's areas of academic specialties are adult, elderly and critical care. She enjoys teaching evidence-based research and preparing students for the NCLEX exam and the transition into practice.

Professional and Community Activities

In 2020, Jeffery published, The Essentials of Clinical Documentation: Preparing Students for Clinical Success.

This clinical manual is an ideal and standardized platform for preparing nursing students with the essential tools for documenting the nursing process. It teaches nursing students how to gather important data about each client in the clinical setting.

She conducted multiple podium presentations focusing on palliative care in the ICU setting at conferences, universities and community settings.

Professional developmental courses Jeffery conducted include the Clinical Faculty Academy as organizer/coordinator/presenter, and a collegiate collaboration between two competing universities (Barry University and Nova Southeastern University). This academy focused on adjunct and full-time faculty pursuing academic roles as clinical faculty transitioning from clinical to academia (two days, 12 hours CEUs, over 250 attendees and over six conferences over a year period).
