As the Domestic Violence Supervisor for the Victim Assistance Program at the State Attorney’s Office, 13th Judicial Circuit, Coffman provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction to ensure victims receive trauma-informed, comprehensive support throughout the criminal justice process. Coffman serves as an Expert Witness in Victimology, Domestic Violence, and Victim Recantation, offering specialized testimony regarding the dynamics of domestic violence, reasons whyvictims may recant, and general understanding of the victim experience to strengthen victim-centered prosecution efforts. Coffman is a member of the Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association (FPAA) DV/SV/HT Advisory Board and serves on theTraining and Education Committee of the Hillsborough County Domestic Violence Task Force, where she collaborates with multidisciplinary partners to improve training and education regarding victimization to improve systemic responses to domestic violence and other specialty crimes. She previously served as Co-Chair of the Hillsborough County Domestic Violence Task Force, helping to lead countywide initiativesfocused on awareness and prevention, accountability, and survivor safety. Coffman also enjoys bringing awareness to the services that Hillsborough County provides to victims of crime and participates in a number of community outreach events onbehalf of her office. Coffman enjoys mentoring students and often meets with them outside classes to discuss future career goals providing guidance and direction.
