Career Specialties

Antony Cheng specializes in statistical analysis, teaching of algebra, business calculus, statistics courses and property management.

Professional and Community Activities

Cheng taught mathematics and statistics courses in different community colleges and universities for over 20 years. Cheng has worked as a coordinator of a learning resource center for the Art Institute of Tampa. He developed and presented in-class workshops on learning skills and provided professional development and support for the institutional effectiveness and faculty. He identified and assisted with academically at-risk students as a mentor and advisor at the Art Institute of Tampa. He has served on many different UT committees, advised first-year students and was an advisor for two different student organizations on campus.

Before academia, he was involved in business management and worked as a manager for a local business. He worked in management and marketing and held various functional positions. He analyzed and implemented business procedures relating to sales, promotions, inventory and finance. He has worked as an actuary for American National Property and Casualty Insurance Companies in auto insurance rate review and analysis. Cheng is also an entrepreneur, and owns and operates a real estate management company and property rental business.
