Career Specialties

Colleen Beaudoin has served in various academic roles for over 30 years. She has taught mathematics at the high school and university levels.

Professional and Community Activities

Beaudoin coauthored three journal articles that were published in education periodicals.

Beaudoin taught mathematics in Hillsborough County Public Schools for 17 years. She provided professional development, instructional support and mentoring to mathematics teachers for several years. She wrote mathematics curriculum for Hillsborough County Public Schools and developed resources and hosted podcasts for mathematics instructors at the Florida Center for Instructional Technology at USF. Beaudoin has worked on several grants with mathematicians and educators across the state of Florida to improve the content knowledge of mathematics teachers. Beaudoin was part of the University of Tampa team that implemented the Science Math Masters grant in partnership with the Florida Department of Education.

Beaudoin is a member of the Mathematics Association of America, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Society for Experiential Education.

At UT, Beaudoin serves on a variety of committees. She is an elected member of the Faculty Senate and has served as department chair for the Department of Education. 

In the community, Beaudoin has represented District 2 on the Pasco County School Board since 2016. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Healthy Communities.
