Facilities Management offers a wide range of services that support the operation, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all campus buildings and grounds, as well as assists the needs of the entire UTampa community. We have procedures in place to provide immediate assistance when necessary and to document and track all work orders when placed through the Facilities Work Order Request portal found on the MyUTampa portal.
Outside of our regular business hours of operation, limited facilities staff will be on-site and will respond to immediate emergencies.
For all other emergencies or safety requests after 11 p.m., Monday-Friday, and after 6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, please contact Campus Safety at (813) 257-7777. For non-urgent requests, please follow the link below.
How to Submit a Facilities Request
1. Determine whether your work request is an emergency.
An emergency is any situation that threatens lives, could cause serious injuries or affects the scheduled operations of the buildings, equipment or utilities. Examples are smoke, gas or burning odors, backed-up drains, overflowing toilets or broken windows. If the request is an emergency related to life safety such as fire, please call 911. If the request is building or equipment related (flooding, power, etc.) call our office at (813) 253-6227 and call Campus Safety at (813) 257-7777. All other work requests are considered routine and require a work order.
2. Contact Facilities Management.
If your request is a non-life-threatening emergency between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 11 p.m., please notify Facilities Management immediately at (813) 253-6227 or faciloffice@ut.edu.
If your request is an emergency between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., please contact Campus Safety immediately at (813) 257-7777.
The regular hours of operation for Facilities Management are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have a maintenance request, please submit a Maintenance Request.
Please be prepared to provide your contact information, exact location of the issue and as much detail as possible. Work will be scheduled and completed as soon as possible.
3. Continue communication with Facilities Management.
You will be notified after the work has been through your work order portal. Work orders requiring parts may receive a notification of delay. Please contact the Faciliites Management office at faciloffice@ut.edu office if there are further problems. Be sure to include work order number as reference when inquiring about an active or closed request.
