The University of Tampa offers a convenient Tuition Payment Plan (TPP) through Workday to help students manage educational expenses with interest-free monthly payments.  Enrollment is required each semester the student wishes to participate.  Monthly installment options are determined by the date of enrollment and may include five, four, or three-month plans.  To participate in the payment plan, students must accept the plan's Terms and Conditions.  A $40.00 non-refundable fee is assessed for each enrollment period

General Information:

  • Fall Semester enrollment begins mid-July
  • Spring Semester enrollment begins mid-December
  • Summer Semester enrollment begins mid-April
  • Payment plans are available to undergraduate and graduate students.

To make a payment by ACH(e-check) or credit/debit card, log in to Workday and select Finances.  Under Account Activity, select View Statement and choose the applicable academic period to review your account.  Then select Make a Payment.

ACH(e-check) Payments

ACH Payments allow you to conveniently pay directly from a checking or savings account .  There is no service fee for this payment method.

 

Credit/Debit Card Payments (effective June 1, 2026)

Credit and debit card payments are accepted using American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

 

A non-refundable service fee of 2.95% will be added to all domestic card payments.  International credit card payments will incur a non-refundable service fee of 4.25%

 

If you do not have access to Workday, payments may also be made through Cashnet  using the student's UTampa ID number and last name. 

A 529 College Savings Plan is a convenient wasy for families to pay for qualified educational expense.

Participants shoudl initiate payment requests directly through their plan administrator.

 

To ensure payment is applied correctly to the student's account, please provide:

  • Student's full name
  • Student's UTampa ID Number

Please plan accordingly, as it may take up to  14 business days for UTampa to receive payment after funds are requested from the plan administrator.

 

Many 529 plans also offer Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) options.  When requesting funds, verify whether EFT is available through your plan.

The University of Tampa offers International students convenient payment options for student account balances, including wire transfers and foreign credit/debit card payments.

The University of Tampa invoices Florida Prepaid on behalf of eligible students.  A Florida Prepaid Transfer Authorization form must be completed before billing can occur.  Transfer authorizations requests may be submitted online by either the account owner or beneficiary through the Florida Prepaid website.

  • Log in to your Florida Prepaid Account
  • Select the student's Prepaid Plan Overview Page
  • Select Use Plans
  • Click Authorize School
  • Choose the payment option that best fits your circumstances

Payment Options

 

Units Paid - pays the equivalent Florida in-state tuiton costs per credit hour based on the selected plan type.

 

Amount Paid - pays a specific dollar amount and uses as many credit hours as necessary to satisfy the univeristy invoice.  This option may deplete plan funds more quickly.

 

Florida Prepaid will send the authorization confirmation directly to the University of Tampa.

 

Billing Information

 

For students selecting the Units Paid option, the University of Tampa will invoice up to 15 credit hours during the fall and spring semester unless the account owner or beneficiary notifies the Bursar's Office otherwise.

 

For students selecting the Amount Paid option, the account owner or beneficiaryb must notify the Bursar's Office each semester regarding billing instructions.  If no communication is received, the university will invoice up to 15 credit hours.

Benefits payable directly to the university are treated as a payment towards the student account and will be credited once teh funds are recieved by the Bursar's Office.

If a student has a medical disability, financial assistance may be available from the local Office of Vocational Rehabilitation or Bureau of Visual Services.

The Tuition Exchange Award at the University of Tampa is competitive and selective  due to the high volume of qualified applicants.

 

Applications are reviewed holistically, considering:

  • Unweighted GPA
  • Academic rigor
  • Involvement and leadership activites

 

Interviews are not part of the application process

 

Applications for Tuition Exchange Award consideration must be submitted by ther University of Tampa's Early Action deadline of November 15.

 

Award Information

The award covers tuition charges only.  All other educational expenses, including housing, meal plans, mandatory fees, books and personal expenses remain the responsibility of the student and family.
