1098-T Information

The University of Tampa has partnered with Heartland ECSI to deliver Form 1098-T Tuition Statements for tax reporting.

Form 1098-T is used to assist students in determining eligibility for an educational tax credit. This is an annual statement that provides a student with the amount of tuition payments made for qualified tuition and related expenses on the account during the calendar year. Your personal financial records serve as official supporting documentation for a federal tax return.

Students who elect to receive an electronic Form 1098-T may access it via ECSI's website any time after Jan. 20 (estimated date). Otherwise, a paper copy will be sent via the U.S. Postal Service postmarked no later than Jan. 31 to your address on file.

To opt-in for electronic delivery (fastest way to receive your 1098-T), follow the instructions below:

  1. Log into Workday via MyUTampa
  2. Click on the Finance Tab in Workday
  3. Scroll to the 1098-T Section on the Finance Dashboard
  4. Click on 1098-T Electronic Consent - this will bring you to ECSI eConsent page
