Semester and Year Abroad Programs
Once the travel bug bites, it may stay in your system for a long
time to come – if not for life, which is why the University of Tampa
offers numerous opportunities to stay abroad longer than several weeks.
Each year we send more than 100 students abroad for an entire semester
or even a year-long educational experience. You are not limited to where
you can study, either. In fact, our students are currently studying in
India, South Africa, Turkey, Iceland, Dubai, Brazil and Costa
Rica, as well as more traditional locations like Australia, Italy and
the UK.
WHERE TO BEGIN
Visit The Office of International Programs to discuss these program opportunities with an education abroad adviser. Specifically, students may contact Katie DeGuzman or Danielle Houston. Student walk-in hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m in Plant Hall 304 and 306. All other times are by appointment only. Students may also search for programs on the Spartans Abroad Program Portal.
How to apply
The application deadline for spring semester programs is Oct. 1, and the deadline for summer and fall semester programs is March 1. Students must apply online through the Spartans Abroad Program Portal.
