Military Advanced Education & Transition Top Colleges & Universities 2018 Icon

Since 2008, UT's military population has increased from 36 students to over 400, with military represented in all four UT colleges and nearly all degree programs. Each military student's unique experience adds to The University of Tampa’s model of diversity and inclusion in our rapidly evolving society and culture.

Veterans and military-affiliated family members are a dynamic group that brings a unique experience and intellectual diversity to UT. We look forward to not only assisting you with all your VA-related questions throughout your time here at UT but also helping you to achieve your goals.

Military Friendly School MF '22-23 Award Icon

For consecutive years, UT has been deemed a  Military Friendly® School. U.S. News and World Report included The University of Tampa in its list of "Best Colleges for Veterans" of Regional Universities South. These schools offer benefits that can make pursuing a college education more affordable for veterans and active-duty service members. These include schools being certified for the GI Bill and schools that participate in the Yellow Ribbon program.

By helping you navigate the complexities of your valuable educational benefit, we try to ensure that you have the best of experiences. UT understands how essential this benefit is during your educational journey in post-military life, and the resources we offer to our veterans are first-class.

To all of our veteran students – current, new and prospective – we thank you and your family for your service to our country.
