Associate Professor Rebecca Olsen specializes in health services research, social marketing and health promotion. Previous work includes qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, organizational and leadership performance improvement, organizational change, health care access, utilization, delivery, effectiveness, efficiency, patient safety and health outcomes.

Assistant Professor Mary Martinasek specializes in social marketing, mixed method research inquiry and health program evaluations. Her research interests include the use of texting for smoking cessation in college students, waterpipe tobacco (hookah) smoking, social-behavioral aspects of electronic cigarette smoking and the use of social media and technology for teen asthma control.

Assistant Professor Lindsay Taliaferro specializes in adolescent health and development. Her research focuses on understanding and preventing non-suicidal self-injury and suicidality among young people, as well as promoting healthy youth development. She approaches her work from a strength-based perspective in which she seeks to identify and enhance protective factors that foster resilience, promote emotional well-being and reduce engagement in risk behaviors among adolescents and young adults.
