Trio of Local Business Leaders to Speak at Business Network Symposium

The leaders of Oxford Exchange, Ferman Motor Car Co. and Revenue Management Solutions are slated to speak at The University of Tampa on Tuesday, Oct. 21, to kick off the 2014-2015 Business Network Symposium series. There will be a continental breakfast at 7:15 a.m., followed by the program from 7:45–9 a.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Vaughn Center Crescent Club.

Tampa native Allison Adams is the director of Oxford Exchange, a multifaceted retail and dining experience located across from UT. As co-owner with her brother, Blake Casper, Adams helped create the model and oversees its operations and creative direction. In addition to her work at Oxford Exchange, Adams is a partner at Caspers Company, which owns and operates 53 McDonald’s franchises in the Tampa Bay Area.

James L. Ferman Jr. has served as chairman, president and CEO of Ferman Motor Car Co. since 1967. Founded in 1895 by his grandfather, the company has grown to employ more than 1,000 people in its 14 automobile dealerships and five Harley-Davidson stores and is ranked as one of the largest dealership groups in Florida and the U.S.

Tom Kelly was a founding partner of Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) in 1994 and serves as chairman and CEO of the company. RMS provides a suite of data-driven solutions for pricing, site selection, media optimization and more for the hospitality and retail industries. Kelly spent more than 30 years teaching hospitality management, primarily as an associate professor at Cornell University, and has been actively engaged in consulting work since 1982.

The event is sponsored by The University of Tampa Board of Fellows, and the presenting sponsor is LCG. Other sponsors include the Tampa Bay Business Journal and Sodexho Campus Services.

The Board of Fellows holds this networking event three times a year to allow businesses that are well known, changing or new to the Tampa Bay area the opportunity to share their accomplishments and plans with the business community. The next Business Network Symposium will be held on Jan. 27, 2015, and the final symposium is scheduled for April 14,2015.
