The
UT Family Association serves to establish, maintain and enhance communication between families and the UT community. Families of every student are automatically members of the association!
For more information about involvement, please contact Jessica Burns, development associate, at
jburns@ut.edu or (813) 258-7481.

Members of the Family Association receive the
Minaret Minute, a quarterly newsletter offering helpful information, and
UT Journal, the full-color alumni magazine published three times a year.
Families are invited to support and share in the UT experience through:
Family Association Board of Directors
The governing body of the Family Association, the board consists of parents from Tampa Bay and across the country who volunteer their time and resources for the UT community. Members of the Family Association board assist UT in the areas of parent communications and parent fundraising. Members will also be given opportunities to attend UT functions, host events and work with UT leaders on matters of concern to parents. The chair of the Family Association board serves as the parent representative on the UT Board of Trustees. Please email Jay Hardwick at
parent@ut.edu if you are interested in serving on the board.
Admissions Assistance
The University of Tampa's admissions staff will cross the country this year to recruit the next incoming class. If interested in helping with college fairs or recruiting efforts, please contact Monica Sheridan, admissions counselor, at (888) MINARET or
admissions@ut.edu.
Career Networking
Parents can play a major role in students' career development by offering internship or shadowing opportunities and urging recruiters to recruit at UT. Parents can contact
Career Services for assistance or can become an e-mentor through online
HIRE-UT.
Family Weekend
Every October, more than 2,000 family members visit UT for
Family Weekend. Administrators and students serve on the planning and welcoming committees. Participation from parents is also encouraged. Family Association annual meeting is held at this time.
Parent Fund
Tuition alone doesn't cover the cost of educating each UT student. Gifts made to the
Parent Fund support student scholarships, maintain the beauty of UT's campus, and keep UT at the forefront of technology.
