The Annual Fund
is the primary means by which alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff have provided financial support to the University. The fund provides money for academic scholarships, need-based scholarships, academic programs, campus improvements, teaching excellence and faculty development. Donations made as restricted gifts benefit specific academic divisions or projects. Donations can be made through online giving
As a private university, UT depends on the philanthropic support of the community it serves. Because the University cannot be sustained by tuition alone, all donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to continue a tradition of academic excellence.
Alumni of all class years give back to their alma mater through gifts to the Annual Fund so that current and future students can follow in their footsteps at The University of Tampa. This year's goal is to raise $280,000 in alumni gifts to help support the 92 percent of students currently receiving financial support, the more than 150 academic programs currently offered, improvements for UT's 105 acre campus and faculty development / teaching innovation for UT faculty members, 90 percent of whom hold doctorates or the highest degree in their field. Alumni can continue the tradition of excellence by supporting the Annual Fund today! Give online.

Corporate Investment in UT
Many companies choose to give back to the community by supporting The University of Tampa, a university on the move with increased student enrollment in each of the last 16 years. This investment provides much needed financial assistance to deserving students while bringing positive publicity to the company. UT serves the corporate community by educating bright students from across the country and the world. Many settle in Tampa creating a talented work pool for corporate recruiting.
By funding annual or endowed scholarships, sponsoring events such as Top Shot, underwriting programs such as the Business Ethics Award, or enhancing campus facilities, corporations can get a marketing benefit from their investment while doing good in their community.
Many companies also support the University by encouraging their employees to serve on leadership boards such as the Board of Counselors
, Board of Fellows and Board of Trustees

Named Scholarship Opportunities
Naming a scholarship can be a wonderful way to honor a loved one, a favorite professor, or your company or foundation while investing in the life of a student. Annual scholarships can be awarded for a minimum gift of $1,500. Endowed scholarships can be established with a minimum $50,000 contribution with the interest given out in the form of a scholarship every year in perpetuity. Donors can help determine the scholarship's criteria, e.g. financial need, residency, minimum GPA, field of study or major, transfer student, etc.
This year, the University will award $42.5 million in institutional aid for students. Annual and endowed scholarships help fund that aid, allowing more students to benefit from an education at UT. Named scholarships are awarded each fall. Scholarship donors and recipients are invited to meet at the annual fall scholarship luncheon. For more information, please contact Rob Bruns, director of corporate and foundation relations, at email@example.com or (813) 253-6283 or give online.
