UT Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs to Give Spring Concert April 29

On Sunday, April 29, The University of Tampa’s Glee Clubs will perform their end-of-the-year concert in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Sunday’s concert will feature portions of a “pop-up” choir concert performed earlier in the semester in the Vaughn Courtyard, and will include a variety of classical, pop, modern and folk settings. Additionally, the program will feature a rousing spiritual, “Same Train,” performed by the combined Glee Clubs.

The concert will be conducted by Deah McReynolds, UT music faculty member and artistic director for Lumina Youth Choirs, and Rodney Shores, artist associate faculty and director of UT’s Camerata and Women’s Glee Club.

Women’s Glee and Men’s Glee are non-auditioned choral ensembles open to all UT students.
