UT Concert Artist Series Continues Nov. 4 with Pianist Grigorios Zamparas

The University of Tampa will present Grigorios Zamparas, Pianist on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values on campus. The concert is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Doors open 30 minutes before the concert.

The program features the Ferruccio Busoni transcription of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Toccatta, Adagio and Fugue in C major, BWV 564, Claude Debussy’s “Prélude” from Pour le piano, Maurice Ravel’s “Toccata” from Le tombeau de Couperin and all 24 of Frederic Chopin’s Preludes Op. 28.

Grigorios Zamparas is an assistant professor of music at UT. He has received critical acclaim for his versatile performing career as recitalist, orchestra soloist and chamber musician in Greece, Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia, Russia, Latin America, South Korea and the United States. Zamparas is a frequent guest at numerous festivals worldwide and has been featured as a soloist in more than 20 different piano concerti. His recordings have been released by Centaur Records.
