Oct. 26 UT Faculty Performance Features Music for Oboe and Organ

On Sunday, Oct. 26, The University of Tampa will present an oboe and organ recital at 3 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values on campus, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd. The event is free and open to the public.

Oboist Meg Cassell and organist Ryan Hebert will perform a program of works by George Philipp Telemann, Jan Koetsier and Josef Rheinberger.

Cassell teaches oboe at UT and is an active freelance oboist. She subs regularly with The Florida Orchestra and other professional ensembles and manages a reed-making business, Good Tone Guild Double Reeds.

Hebert is an assistant professor of music, director of choral studies and University organist at UT. He conducts the University’s three choral ensembles, teaches music theory and performs and teaches on UT’s 56-stop Dobson organ.
