Business Network Symposium Hosts Industry Experts

Executives from the semiconductor, real estate and mobile communications industries will be on hand to discuss their experiences at the Business Network Symposium on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at The University of Tampa. It will start with a continental breakfast at 7:15 a.m., and the program will run from 7:45 to 9 a.m. in the Crescent Club on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Abdul Lateef is CEO of St. Petersburg-based Plasma-Therm, a leading high-tech process equipment manufacturer for systems used in specialty markets throughout the semiconductor industry. Using wafer- etch and deposition technologies, Plasma-Therm’s equipment is used to produce a diverse range of everyday items such as LED TVs, cell phones, hard drives and solid-state lighting.

Roxanne Amoroso has worked in commercial real estate development in Florida for more than 20 years developing office, retail and multifamily real estate. Amoroso is a senior vice president with the Banc of America Community Development Corp., leading all multifamily and master development activities in the state of Florida.

David W. Hitchcock has been executive vice president and chief financial officer of Syniverse since June 2007. Prior to joining Syniverse, he was CFO of North America for Alcatel-Lucent. Hitchcock has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate finance, mainly with AT&T and Lucent Technologies.

The Board of Fellows holds this networking event three times a year to give well-known, new or changing businesses in the Tampa Bay area the opportunity to share their accomplishments and plans with the business community.
