157th Commencement To Be Held Friday, Dec. 15

The University of Tampa will hold its 157th commencement on Friday, Dec. 15, at 9:30 a.m., at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall. The ceremony will honor 1,015 graduates, including 670 bachelor’s degree candidates and 345 master’s degree candidates.

The ceremony is free and open to the public. In the days leading up to the ceremony, several departments will hold hooding ceremonies for their master’s degree candidates.

Stephanie Thomason, professor of management and associate director of the TECO Energy Center for Leadership, is the speaker for the ceremony. Thomason is the recipient of the 2022-2023 Louise Loy Hunter Award, which is given annually to a UT faculty member for excellence in teaching and cumulative contributions in service and scholarship.

Emma Triano, who is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, will introduce Thomason and deliver the challenge to the graduating class.
