Transfer Orientation

Congratulations, Spartans, and welcome to your new home at The University of Tampa!

Whether you are transferring from a local community college, an in-state four-year institution or an out-of-state four-year institution, we are excited for you to begin your journey as a UT Spartan! We know that you have prior college experience, and UT has designed your orientation program to meet your needs and help you be successful during your transition to your new campus.

Spring 2024 (January) Information for transfer students starting in Spring 2024.

Your fUTure starts here! Complete the online orientation program!

As a new student, you will have the opportunity to get to know your campus prior to your arrival by completing UT's online orientation program. This program has been specifically designed with YOU in mind! From navigating academics to getting involved on campus, this program will help you familiarize yourself with the many resources available to you as a Spartan. The online orientation program for all new incoming students (residents, commuters and transfers) starting in Spring 2024 is now available. You can access online orientation through your MyUTampa account, and it must be completed prior to your arrival on campus.

New Resident Students

Residential move-in for new students will be taking place on Friday, Jan. 12, and Thursday, Jan. 11, for new international students. The Office of Residence Life will share additional information regarding room assignments and how to sign up for a move-in appointment in December. Once students arrive on campus, they are encouraged to participate in Week of Welcome (WOW!) from Jan. 12-15.

New Commuter Students

New students who will be living off-campus can check in Jan. 10-12 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Check-in will be located on the second floor of the Vaughn Center at the Spartan Card Office. During check-in, new students who are living off-campus will receive their Spartan Card ID and other important information.

Spring 2024 Week of Welcome

Week of Welcome (WOW!) is designed specifically to help our new students as they transition to the University and we are excited to welcome our new Spartans to campus! The Spring 2024 Week of Welcome will take place from Friday, Jan. 12, to Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Our Week of Welcome schedule is made available through the Guidebook app. This interactive app allows you to set your own schedule, view Tampa weather, find important campus contact information, receive event changes in real-time and more!

The Spring 2024 Week of Welcome schedule will be available via Guidebook in December! Download Guidebook via Google Play or the App Store. Once the app is downloaded search The University of Tampa Office of Orientation and Family Engagement to download our guide space to access the schedule.
