UT to Host Annual Adam Smith Breakfast April 12

On Thursday, April 12, The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business will hold its annual Adam Smith Breakfast. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Crescent Club, which is located on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center.

On Thursday, April 12, The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business will hold its annual Adam Smith Breakfast. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Crescent Club, which is located on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center.

The Adam Smith Breakfast is geared toward local business community members operating in a global economy. The presentation will include an economic outlook of the Tampa Bay economy by John Stinespring, UT associate professor of economics, and a global macroeconomic outlook by Vivekanand Jayakumar, UT associate professor of economics.

Proceeds from the breakfast will support The Adam Smith Society, the UT Department of Economics’ honor society for students of economics and economic policy. Students demonstrating an outstanding interest and competence in the free economic thinking of Adam Smith are nominated by faculty for membership into the society.

Tickets are free for UT faculty and staff, $5 for UT students, $75 for an individual seat, $395 for a table of eight (two seats reserved for UT students) and $1,000 for a Spartan Sponsor package (includes two tables for 12 guests and four UT students, and recognition at the event).
