A team of University of Tampa students took first place in a national
Beta Alpha Psi Best Practice Competition, which was held at the Beta
Alpha Psi national conference in Brooklyn, NY on August 6-8.
Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals.
The
five students competed in a section focusing on chapter sustainability.
The UT team had won the regional Beta Alpha Psi competition in
Nashville, TN last winter and were invited to compete against the
winners of seven other regions from around the country. UT topped teams
from New York University and the University of Oregon, among others.
The
UT team, which met several times a week throughout the summer to
prepare, included Nick Williams, Andrew Argue, Michael Buckland,
Jingming Ma and Kayla Adams.
The competition was sponsored by Deloitte LLP.
