UT Presents Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery Nov. 13—20

The annual Student Juried Art Exhibition, featuring artwork by students at The University of Tampa, will be open Friday, Nov. 13, to Friday, Nov. 20, in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery on UT’s campus.

The annual Student Juried Art Exhibition gives UT students from any major an opportunity to display their artwork for the public. Pieces in the exhibition are in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture, digital media, animations and mixed media.

Outstanding students included in the Student Juried Art Exhibition will be selected to receive awards made possible by the Friends of the Gallery support group for the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery and Dick Blick Art Materials. The 2019 exhibition is pictured above.

Each year this student exhibition is juried and judged by an arts instructor or artist who is not affiliated with UT. This year’s judge is Stanton Storer, local contemporary art collector and supporter of the arts throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Outstanding students included in the Student Juried Art Exhibition will be selected to receive awards made possible by the Friends of the Gallery support group for the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery and Dick Blick Art Materials, one of the nation’s largest arts suppliers and recognized as one of 2016’s Best Businesses Partnering with the Arts in America. Storer will announce the winners of these awards at a reception on Friday, Nov. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at a hybrid (virtual and on-campus) event. The gallery is located on campus at the R. K. Bailey Art Studios at 310 N. Blvd. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. on Saturday. There is no charge for admission. This exhibition is made possible through the support of The University of Tampa Friends of the Gallery.
