The annual Student Juried Art Exhibition gives UT students from any major an opportunity to display their artwork for the public. Pieces in the exhibition are in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture, digital media, animations and mixed media.
Each year this student exhibition is juried and judged by a non-UT-affiliated arts instructor or artist. This year’s judge is Joanna Robotham, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Tampa Museum of Art. Robotham joined the staff of the Tampa Museum of Art in 2016.
Outstanding students included in the Student Juried Art Exhibition will be selected to receive gift awards made possible by Blick Art Materials, one of the nation’s largest arts suppliers and recognized as 2016’s Best Businesses Partnering with the Arts in America. Robotham will announce the winners of these awards at a reception on Friday, Nov. 15, 7-9 p.m.
The gallery is located on campus at the R. K. Bailey Art Studios at 310 N. Blvd. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday through Friday, and 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. There is no charge for admission.
This exhibition is made possible through the support of The University of Tampa Friends of the Gallery. For more information, please contact Jocelyn Boigenzahn, gallery director, via email at jboigenzahn@ut.edu or call (813) 253- 6217.
