Dennis Nostrand, currently vice president for enrollment at the
University of New Haven in Connecticut, has been appointed to vice
president for enrollment at The University of Tampa.
As vice
president for enrollment, Nostrand will oversee all of The University of
Tampa’s enrollment management activities, including financial aid and
strategic outreach efforts.
“Dennis is a very experienced
enrollment manager and leader, and has been successful wherever he has
been,” said UT President Ronald Vaughn. “Based on the diverse feedback
we received about Dennis, we’re fortunate to have him and his talents at
UT.”
Nostrand has worked at the University of New Haven since
2006, where he recently increased the incoming class 67 percent over the
prior year. Previously, he was vice president for enrollment management
at Arcadia University in suburban Philadelphia, where the enrollment
tripled during his 13 years as vice president. From 1992 to 2006 he
served a number of positions at State University of New York at
Morrisville, including associate dean of enrollment, reporting to the
president and the director of admission. While reporting to the
president at SUNY he also supervised marketing, university relations,
career services and continuing education.
“I am delighted to be a
member of The University of Tampa team," Nostrand said. "And I look
forward to spotlighting UT's impressive faculty and programs as well as
the exciting opportunities the Tampa Bay area has to offer.”
Nostrand
holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Ohio Northern
University and a master’s degree in secondary education from State
University of New York at Cortland.
Nostrand will begin his position at UT on May 26.
