Judith H. Washburn, associate professor of marketing at The University of Tampa, has been named director of UT’s MBA program.
Washburn
joined UT in 2003, and teaches a variety of both graduate and
undergraduate marketing courses in the John H. Sykes College of
Business. Her research interests include branding, associative
relationships between businesses and nonprofit organizations, service
value and university marketing.
Washburn has also worked in
industry, holding positions in marketing management for a manufacturing
company, marketing research for a large retail holding corporation,
retail management for a national department store chain, and consulting
in marketing management and marketing research.
She is active in
the American Marketing Association and the Society for Marketing
Advances and in 2006 won the UT College of Business Excellence in
Student Involvement Award.
Washburn earned a bachelor’s degree
from Drake University, an MBA from Southern Illinois University at
Edwardsville and a doctorate from Saint Louis University.
UT’s
MBA program is one of the elite programs in the United States. UT offers
a full-time program, an evening program and a Saturday program. The MBA
curriculum includes a foundation core, providing key business concepts
and techniques and an integrated core, providing half-semester course
modules designed to develop practical hands-on business knowledge.
