UT Chapter of Accounting Honorary Organization Named Superior

The University of Tampa’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals, received international recognition as a superior chapter.

The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.

UT’s chapter, Lambda Beta, “far exceeded the baseline requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism and leadership,” according to Brian McGuire, Beta Alpha Psi president.

McGuire also recognized UT’s chapter advisors, Rachel Gambol, accounting instructor, and Mary Keener, associate professor of accounting, as providing “an invaluable service to your academic institution.”

In being named a superior chapter, the UT chapter received financial support sponsored by KPMG and the KPMG Foundation.

University of Tampa alumni, parents, faculty, staff, volunteer boards and friends contributed a new record of $1.13 million last week during the annual UT Give Day.
The latest issue of Neon has hit the stands, and it’s heavier than ever.
UT seniors Morgan Bierbrunner and Isabella Dillio and their innovative venture, Rush Power, finished in the top 15 out of 150 teams at e-Fest, a national entrepreneurship contest.
