Frank Ghannadian, dean of The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business, will speak on the economic impact of globalization, with a special emphasis on Tampa Bay, at a luncheon meeting at Feather Sound Country Club on Friday, Feb. 22.
During his presentation, Ghannadian will explore the myths surrounding exports, imports, productivity and the global competitiveness of the U.S. economy and will offer insight into globalization and its effect on consumers facing a challenging world with a weaker dollar. In addition, Ghannadian will discuss the ramifications of these issues on the Tampa Bay economy and an overview of regional economic forces.
Ghannadian, who joined the UT community in July 2007, specializes in international business and finance, financial institutions and investing. He leads UT's Sykes College of Business, which has been named by
The Princeton Review as an outstanding business school and is one of only 19 private schools in the Southeast accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
