Three Alumni Honored by UT’s Lowth Entrepreneurship Center

Ray Ingersoll, Jason Reed and Evan Koorse, all University of Tampa alumni, were honored with alumni awards by UT’s Lowth Entrepreneurship Center for their professional and personal achievements.
Ray Ingersoll, a member of the Class of 1991, won the Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs Award. He is the founder of The Ingersoll Group Inc., a consulting and training firm.
Jason Reed, a member of the UT Class of 1995, won the Family Business Award. He is the chief executive officer of ReedTMS Logistics, a family-owned and operated asset-based third-party logistics provider.
Evan Koorse, a member of the UT Class of 2003, won the Young Entrepreneur Award. He is the president of TSC, a global clothing manufacturing and design company with 3 subsidiaries, 500 employees and listing annual sales totaling more than $65 million.
The center received a record number of nominations from community members and alumni for the awards, said Dean Koutroumanis, associate director of the Lowth Center and associate professor of management.
“Now in its 8th year, the alumni awards has become the premier Lowth Entrepreneurship Center event connecting alumni to students, and fostering mentorship, internship, and relationship-building opportunities,” Koutroumanis said.

More than 150 people were in attendance.
The Lowth Center, part of the Sykes College of Business, is located within the Daly Innovation and Collaboration Building at UT. The space is creatively designed to bring together prospective student entrepreneurs, educators and experienced executives to generate, define and develop entrepreneurial concepts and to launch new ventures.
UT’s entrepreneurship major is one of the largest on campus and provides students with skills that are critical for anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur or think like one.
