“Stereotypes, College Majors and Moral Disengagement” Up for Discussion at UT Ethics Hot Seat Oct. 10

On Wednesday, Oct. 10, guest speaker Suzanne N. Cory will be on the hot seat at The University of Tampa’s Ethics Hot Seat Speaker Series, hosted by the UT Center for Ethics. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Crescent Club on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center and is free with registration and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Cory is a professor of accounting in the Greehey School of Business at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. Her teaching specialty is financial accounting, and she has taught in numerous international venues, including Austria, England, Germany and Spain. Prior to beginning her academic career, Cory was employed in public accounting.The topic of the discussion will be “Stereotypes, College Majors and Moral Disengagement.” Cory will cover this material in an interactive discussion along with Robert Marley, director of the UT Center for Ethics and associate professor of accounting, and Deanna House, associate director of the UT Center for Ethics and assistant professor of cybersecurity.For more information, contact Jessica Luce at jluce@ut.edu or (813) 257-3039.
