The annual Juried Student Art Exhibition gives students from any major at The University of Tampa an opportunity to display their artwork to the public. The exhibition opens Friday, April 5, with a reception from 7–9 p.m. at the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery on campus. The show runs through April 25.
Pieces in the exhibition are from a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture, digital media, animations and mixed media. Juried by UT’s fine arts faculty, all work is original and not previously displayed in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery.
Ann Larson, acting director of the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, will judge the show and hand out awards totaling $2,500 from Las Damas de Arte and the Friends of the Gallery.
The gallery is located on campus at the R. K. Bailey Art Studios at 310 N. Blvd. Gallery hours are 10 to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. There is no charge for admission.
