Andy Plattner has published four books; his latest, Offerings from a Rust Belt Jockey, won Dzanc Book's Mid-Career Novel Prize, the Castleton-Lyons Book Award and was recently named as a finalist for the 2016 Townsend Prize. His first story collection, Winter Money, won the Flannery O'Connor Award and was nominated for a PEN/Hemingway Prize. A Henfield/Transatlantic Review winner, he has published short fiction of late in The Southern Review, Atticus Review, New World Writing and Fiction Magazine. His nonfiction writing on the sport of horse racing has earned gold and silver medals from the Association of American Horse Publications.
