Information on Hotels
For the 2023 Fall Weekend, the University is partnering with the Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown, 325 N. Florida Ave., and Hilton Tampa Downtown 211 N. Tampa St., and Home2 Suites, 1155 E. Kennedy Blvd., to serve as our host hotels. A special rate will apply for our UT families for the following dates:
- Hyatt Place Tampa - Thursday, Oct. 5, to Sunday, Oct. 8
- Hilton Tampa Downtown - Thursday, Oct. 5, to Monday, Oct. 9
- Home2 Suites - Friday, Oct. 6, to Sunday, Oct. 8
Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown
Reservations can be made online. When using the online reservation link, enter your arrival and departure dates and click "check availability" to view the special rate. The "Corporate/Group Code" section under "Special Rates" page will auto-populate with code G-EXNU. If guests have questions or need help with this booking, please contact the Hyatt Place Sales Department at 813-424-3135 and ask for Kiersten Herman, Sales Manager.
The rate includes spacious suite-style rooms with a pullout sofa bed, hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, outdoor heated pool and terrace. A parking garage is available at $33 per night via valet parking. Reservations must be made by Thursday, Sept. 7.
Hilton Tampa Downtown
Reservations can be made online. Please note, a daily mandatory destination charge will be added to the room rate.
The rate includes premium guest internet access; daily $25 food and beverage credit for use in all hotel outlets (excluding room service) and 1-hour bicycle rental for two. Valet Parking is available at $37 per night. Reservations must be made by Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Home2 Suites
Reservations can be made online. The rate includes a queen bed studio pool view, hot breakfast, wi-fi, outdoor pool, fitness center, and business center. Self-parking is an additional charge of $25 a night. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Find additional hotels located close to the UT campus. Families should make reservations directly with the hotel.

Tampa International Airport (airport code TPA) is served by most major airlines and is consistently ranked as one of the top airports in the nation.
Directions to UT
From the North:
I-75 South to I-275 South to Exit 45A. Follow signs for Downtown West/Ashley Street. Take Ashley Dr. south to Kennedy Blvd. Turn right on Kennedy Blvd., crossing the Hillsborough River. Turn right at the first light at the main entrance of the University.
From the East:
I-4 West to I-275 South to Exit 45A. Follow signs for Downtown West/Ashley Street. Take Ashley Dr. south to Kennedy Blvd. Turn right on Kennedy Blvd., crossing the Hillsborough River. Turn right at the first light at the main entrance of the University.
From the South:
I-75 North to Exit 256 (Crosstown Expressway). Crosstown Expressway to "Tampa General Hospital-Davis Islands" exit (right after crossing the Hillsborough River). Turn right on Plant Ave., go to the dead end at Kennedy Blvd. Turn left on Kennedy Blvd. Turn right at the first light at the main entrance of the University.
From the West:
I-275 North to Exit 44 (Downtown West). Ashley Dr. south to Kennedy Blvd. Turn right on Kennedy Blvd., crossing the Hillsborough River. Turn right at the first light at the main entrance of the University.
From Tampa International Airport:
Florida 60 East to I-275 North (Downtown) to Exit 44 (Downtown West). Ashley Dr. south to Kennedy Blvd. Turn right on Kennedy Blvd., crossing the Hillsborough River. Turn right at the first light at the main entrance of the University. The University of Tampa is 8 miles from Tampa International Airport.
