From 2013 to 2014, Singer served as the associate art director for EatingWell magazine, a national media brand based in Vermont. While at EatingWell, Singer designed editorial layouts and planned and directed photo shoots with food and prop stylists. From 2014 to 2015, Singer taught English in Busan, South Korea, through the South Korean government program English Program in Korea. On return trips to South Korea in 2016 and 2017, Singer partnered with the nonprofit People for Successful Korean Reunification to raise awareness about North Korean human rights. Singer designed a series of 30 posters that were displayed at awareness events in various Seoul subway stations and around Gwanghwamun Plaza for the nonprofit’s 2017 to 2018 campaign, Forced to Hate: North Korea’s Education System.
From 2015 to 2018, Singer served as the graphic design graduate assistant for UF Off Campus Life, a University of Florida Student Affairs office, where Singer designed publications, annual reports and graphics, and advised students and family members concerning off-campus life in Gainesville, FL. Singer’s MFA thesis research project focused on understanding the needs and habits of retirees and refugees and resulted in a mobile application prototype to connect retirees and refugees.
